Overview:
Communicare Internship provides the student with an opportunity to explore deeply into the realm of communication and social services. This job is suitable for students or recent graduates who want hands-on experience, skills improvement, and active participation in significant projects that contribute positively to our society.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing communication strategies towards promoting programs done by Communicare.
- Create content that attracts audience using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedln etc., newsletters and other digital platforms.
- Assist in planning events that are done by the community during workshops.
- Do research and observe data regarding what makes a successful campaign of communicating information.
- Work on projects with team members from various teams within the organization.
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Candidates must be currently enrolled or recently graduated from university majoring in Communication, Marketing, Social Work or any relevant field. The ideal candidate should have excellent writing and editing skills, knowledge about popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter etc., and capable of working independently and with others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint as well as basic graphic design skills would be desirable qualifications to possess.
Qualifications:
- Currently studying or just finished a degree program such as Communication, Marketing or Social Work among others.
- Good writing abilities coupled with effective editing skills plus strong verbal presentation techniques are essential to this position.
- Social networking literacy plus knowledge about digital marketing tools is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while being able to collaborate with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office packages.
- Basic understanding of graphic design will be added advantage.
