The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) is offering internship opportunities for the 2024/2025 period, aimed at equipping young graduates with essential knowledge, skills, and exposure to market conduct regulation and supervision. This initiative is designed to produce a pipeline of competent new entrants in the labor market, enhancing the FSCA's ability to fulfill its mandate.
The graduate development program is a structured initiative that spans 24 months, providing participants with comprehensive learning experiences under the guidance of dedicated mentors. This program is designed to foster professional growth within the financial sector by offering workplace experience and exposure to various competency-based training sessions.
Interns will participate actively in hands-on projects, gaining practical experience through opportunities to rotate across various departments. This will involve engaging in real-world tasks that align with the FSCA's objectives and contribute to the overall development of the intern's professional capabilities.
Candidates must hold a relevant degree or national diploma in fields such as Law (LLB), Marketing, Economics, Mathematics and Statistics, Financial Accounting, Accounting Science, Auditing, Communication, Education, Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE), Information Technology, or related disciplines. Applicants must be South African citizens with no prior work experience and a strong aspiration to work in the financial services sector.
The internship program offers continuous training and development to help trainees acquire skills necessary for a career in the financial sector. Participants will benefit from structured learning, practical experience, and one-on-one mentorship, significantly enhancing their future employment prospects.
Prospective applicants must submit their applications by August 29, 2024. Applications should include a valid South African Identity Document and must declare any disabilities as applicable. The FSCA encourages individuals with disabilities to apply, ensuring a diverse and inclusive environment.
