Overview:

Responsibilities:

As an African Development Bank Internship, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting ongoing initiatives and programs within the assigned department.
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Participating in meetings, workshops, and seminars as required.

Qualifications:

To be eligible for the AfDB Internship Program, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Current enrollment in a master’s or Ph.D. program, or recent graduate (within one year) from a recognized university.
  • Strong academic performance in fields related to the Bank’s operations (e.g., economics, finance, international
  • development, business administration, public policy, or related disciplines).
  • Proficiency in at least one of the Bank’s working languages (English or French); knowledge of both is an asset.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.

Requirements:

Candidates must meet the following requirements to apply for the AfDB Internship Program:

  • Applicants must be aged 30 years or younger at the time of application.
  • Must be nationals of one of the Bank’s member countries.
  • Candidates should have a strong interest in African development issues and a commitment to the Bank’s mission.
  • Availability to commit to the internship for a minimum of three months and a maximum of six months.
  • Must have a valid passport or other legal documents for travel.
