Key Responsibilities:
- Assist operations on daily basis in mining activities.
- Carry out research for different mining projects.
- Help engineering team on technical tasks and problem-solving.
- Take part in safety inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Document findings and give reports to top management.
- Work together with various departments during mining processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Currently involved or recently finished a course related to Mining Engineering, Geology, or any other similar discipline.
- Good analytical thinking abilities.
- Effective communication skills; excellent team player.
- Competency in Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Able to learn quickly and adapt easily within dynamic work environment.
Requirements:
Applicants must be registered for or have achieved an appropriate tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, Geology or related field. An added advantage would be previous internships/work experience in the mining sector although this is not compulsory. Applicants must demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, pay attention to detail, as well as being able to work well within teams while also communicating effectively. A proactive demeanor and ready acceptance of practical assignments are mandatory. Furthermore candidates should be allowed by law to work where they might find internships.
