Responsibilities:
You will be involved in the following activities during your internship at the Commission for Gender Equality:
- Helping in carrying out research on issues of gender and policies.
- Facilitating the development and implementation of various programs geared towards achieving gender equality.
- Participating in planning events, workshops, or outreach programs within local communities.
- Preparing project reports, presentations as well as any other relevant document on projects dealing with promoting gender equality.
- Working together with team members on some matters pertaining to matters of gender equality only.
- Attending meetings and making contributions aimed at promoting gender equality.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- Must be enrolled currently or recently graduating from a related degree (Gender Studies; Sociology; Public Policy).
- Must be competent In information search and analysis.
- Should have good writing as well as oral presentation skills.
- Must have self-starter capabilities alongside strong teamwork abilities.
- Show enthusiasm over matters pertaining to social justice, especially that regarding genders specifically women’s rights issues or understanding racial disparities both national and international level are encouraged apply.
- Have proper command of MS Office packages such as Word/Excel/PowerPoint throughout their study years.
Requirements:
We require applicants who can commit themselves for a minimum period of 20 hours per week with no less than three months. The extension may still continue depending on how interns perform during their respective period while being here or proposal from them which is acceptable by all parties concerned. Interns are expected to act professionally, keep confidentiality and show high levels of dedication to the commission’s goals.
