AFGRI Farmer Development (AFD) invites applications for the 2025 Learnership Programme. The programme takes place at the Vasfontein Farm in Pretoria North and aims to support the development of historically disadvantaged individuals, although it is open to all qualified applicants.
The AFGRI Learnership Programme spans twelve months and involves both on-the-job and off-the-job training. Participants will engage in diverse tasks and responsibilities aligned with the objectives of the programme, gaining all-round work experience at the Vastfontein Training Farm. The learnership aims to equip learners with the skills needed to contribute effectively to agricultural projects and enhance their future employability.
Participants will:
- Engage in hands-on farming activities with crops and animals.

- Contribute to project work and support team initiatives on the farm.
Candidates should:
- Be South African citizens.
- Hold a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Be unemployed at the time of application.
- Note: Preference will be given to women and individuals with disabilities.
