Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking candidates for the Data Center Engineering Operations Internship for 2024/2025. This 12-month internship offers an immersive experience within a data center environment, focusing on technical support and the maintenance of critical facility infrastructure. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to supporting the rapid growth of AWS while ensuring optimal operational performance.
The Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Team at AWS plays a vital role in maintaining the physical infrastructure that supports AWS's global operations. Interns will have the opportunity to work in a full-time capacity (40 hours per week) at an Amazon Data Center, where they will engage in various projects, gaining practical experience in risk management, maintenance, and vendor interaction. The internship requires interns to have an internship agreement from their university.
Interns will be tasked with:
- Utilizing internal Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage workflows related to building operations.
- Assisting in root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshooting facility and rack-level events in compliance with internal service level agreements (SLAs).
- Taking daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Interacting with third-party vendors and contractors working on-site.
- Maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
- Proficiency in English.
