The Internship Programme at ASSMANG Pty Ltd is designed to address critical and scarce skills within the organization, offering a structured Graduate Development Programme (GDP) at the Black Rock Mine Operations, located 80km north-west of Kuruman in the Northern Cape. This initiative provides invaluable hands-on experience and skill development for unemployed youth entering the workforce.
This internship is specifically tailored for graduates who are currently unemployed and not engaged in any other internship programmes. The objective is to equip emerging labor market entrants with the necessary skills and experience to thrive in a professional setting. The programme targets critical skill areas vital to the mining and quarrying industry.
Interns will engage in practical, on-the-job training within their respective fields, gaining exposure to real-world challenges and professional practices. This immersive experience is designed to enhance their competency and prepare them for future employment opportunities.
Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in one of the specified disciplines.
- BSc. Data Science
- BSc. Mining Engineering
- BA/B. Com Human Resources
- B. Com Financial Accounting
- Bachelor of Science: Analytical Chemistry
- BSc. or BTech Degree in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering
- Be a South African citizen, currently unemployed, aged between 18 and 35, and have no active criminal record.
Interns will receive market-related remuneration and gain valuable experience within the mining industry, which is instrumental for future career advancement.
