National Brands Limited, a division of AVI Limited, is seeking Supply Chain Graduates to join its esteemed team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This is a 24-month contractual position designed to provide comprehensive exposure to supply chain management within the food production industry. The successful candidates will be based at the Head Office in Bryanston, supporting operations across five manufacturing facilities.
The AVI Graduate Programme is an intensive 24-month initiative aimed at developing future leaders in supply chain management. Graduates will gain in-depth knowledge and experience in various aspects of the supply chain, including distribution, warehousing, and logistics. The program promises a balanced blend of practical and theoretical learning, supported by mentorship and real-world projects.
Participants in the graduate program will:
- Engage in distribution and warehousing processes, gaining hands-on experience.
- Contribute to logistics operations, including factory inbound and outbound activities.
- Work with raw materials, packaging, and finished goods management.
- Analyze key performance metrics such as stock levels and forecast accuracy.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Oversee buying and replenishment tasks.
- Utilize SAP systems for material requirements planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the factory and headquarters.
Eligible candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science, Technology, or related fields such as Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Statistics.
- A minimum average of 60% in their final year of study.
- Chartered Institute in Procurement and Supply (CIPS) diploma is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SAP systems.
