Description

This learnership offers a structured learning experience, combining both institutionalized and on-the-job training tailored to the specific requirements of the qualification and the company. The goal is to equip learners with essential skills while aligning with business objectives such as safety, quality, productivity, and cost-efficiency.

The NCAMA Learnership is designed to provide participants with hands-on training and development in specialized process functions within the industry. Participants will gain exposure to key operational areas, fostering skills that meet both industry standards and organizational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake a combination of institutional and on-the-job training in line with the learnership qualification and company standards.
  • Contribute to achieving business objectives by focusing on safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and timely delivery.
  • Learn the proper use of tools and equipment to perform specialized tasks and processes.
  • Adhere to workplace procedures and timeframes.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance assembly operations.
  • Provide production support and maintain effective communication with peers and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate integrity in task completion and identify opportunities for improvement.

Performance Measures / Success Criteria:

  • Successfully complete the approved training program in accordance with FMCSA and MerSeta standards.
  • Adhere to the prescribed training schedule to ensure competency development.
  • Complete the learnership within the designated timeframe.
  • Gain experience by rotating through shifts during the training period to ensure comprehensive exposure.
Qualifications

Grade 12 Certificate with passing marks in:

  • Pure Mathematics HG/SG (excluding Mathematics Literacy, Additional Mathematics, Functional Mathematics, Commercial Mathematics, and Applied Mathematics)
  • English
  • Applicants must be unemployed and under the age of 35.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

  • Strong attention to detail under supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and goal-oriented.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn on the job.
