iMasFinance, an accredited financial services provider, offers a 12-month Technical Support Learnership Programme targeted at previously disadvantaged unemployed individuals. This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive learning experience leading to an IT Technical Support NQF4 certificate, integrating structured academic training with practical workplace exposure.
The learnership program furnishes participants with hands-on experience in the IT department, focusing on the practical application of technical support skills. Participants will engage in workstation setup and maintenance, troubleshooting IT incidents, managing incident escalations, and providing telephonic technical support. Additionally, they will gain experience in hardware and software deployment and receive continuous coaching, training, and mentoring throughout the program.
Learners will be responsible for maintaining workstations, troubleshooting and resolving IT incidents, and escalating issues to third-level support when necessary. They will also assist in the rollout of hardware and software for new sites and provide technical support over the phone. Participants are expected to offer management feedback and reporting as requested.
Applicants must possess a Grade 12 certificate with Mathematics and/or Accounting, achieving a minimum Level 4 (50%) in Maths, English, and a second language. While a tertiary qualification is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Candidates must be unemployed and not currently enrolled in any study programs. This opportunity is specifically available to previously disadvantaged youth who have a keen interest in IT Networks and IT Security.
This learnership provides invaluable industry experience, enhancing participants' IT skills and employability. Learners will benefit from detailed insights into IT operations and support, preparing them for potential careers in IT networks and security.
Interested candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and submit their applications by the specified deadline. Applicants must be ready to commence the learnership in January 2025. Further application details will be provided by iMasFinance, and candidates are encouraged to verify their qualifications before applying.
