The Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA), in partnership with MICT SETA, offers a valuable internship opportunity for recent graduates seeking to launch their careers in media, project management, and related fields. This program is based in Auckland Park and is designed for graduates from accredited and recognized tertiary institutions.

The MDDA Internship Programme is a 12-month learning and development opportunity that aims to equip interns with hands-on experience in monitoring and evaluation within the media sector. Interns will gain insights into essential project management, evaluation processes, and industry-relevant skills under the guidance of experienced professionals.

This internship is intended for graduates who have recently completed a degree or diploma in fields such as Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Media Studies, Social Science, Journalism, Development Studies, or other relevant disciplines. The program is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical industry application, with no prior work experience required.

Responsibilities

Interns in this program will be expected to:

  • Support monitoring and evaluation tasks within the organization.

Qualifications

To qualify for the MDDA Internship Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Have no prior relevant work experience.
  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Hold a Matric/Grade 12 certificate.
  • Possess a relevant three-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma or Degree) in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Media Studies, Social Science, Journalism, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Be willing to enter into a 12-month learning agreement.
