The South African National Parks (SANParks) is offering a Finance Internship Programme for the 2024/2025 period. This program is designed for recent graduates seeking to gain practical experience in the finance and accounting fields within the SANParks organization. The internship lasts for 12 months and is based at Groenkloof National Park in Pretoria. Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R6,030.00 and will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to develop their financial and accounting skills.
This internship program aims to provide recent graduates with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting functions, enhancing their employability in the industry. The internship is open to unemployed graduates who have completed a National Diploma or Degree from a public Higher Education Institution (HEI) in South Africa. Interns will support various financial operations at SANParks while learning essential skills related to financial reporting, auditing, and compliance.
Interns will be expected to:
- Assist with financial data entry and reporting tasks.
- Participate in auditing and financial compliance processes.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Engage with various accounting and financial software systems to ensure accurate financial documentation.
- Perform other finance-related duties as required by the department, under the guidance of senior financial staff.
To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A National Diploma or Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Must be an unemployed graduate between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Be a South African citizen.
- Must not have previously participated in any internship or placement program.
This internship offers a structured learning experience within a recognized national institution, providing graduates with practical experience in finance and accounting.
