Overview:
The Gibb Internship Program is aimed at providing on-the-job experience to prospective engineers, planners and similar professionals. As part of the program, interns will help the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport in its mission of enhancing and maintaining transport infrastructure within province boundaries. You get exposed to real life setting where learning takes place from some of the industries best.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in planning and implementation of transport infrastructure projects.
- Research for purposes of project development data analysis.
- Site visits as well as field assessments involvement.
- Prepare internal and external stakeholder presentation papers.
- Work with other departments and team members towards project objectives.
- Adherence to all rules as well as guidelines that are relevant.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Presently studying or have recently graduated from a related degree course (Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Transportation Management).
