The South African Breweries (SAB) is offering an exciting opportunity for recent graduates to join their Graduate Management Trainee (GMT) Internship Programme for 2024/2025. The SAB Graduate Management Trainee Programme is a comprehensive 10-month rotational internship that immerses participants in various business functions. During this period, trainees will rotate through key departments such as Marketing, Sales, Technology, Supply Chain, and Logistics. The programme offers real-world experience and the opportunity to engage with actual business challenges, ensuring graduates are well-equipped to excel in their roles. With access to mentoring, global networks, and leadership development, participants will be prepared for frontline leadership positions upon programme completion.

Responsibilities

Graduate Management Trainees (GMTs) will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Participate in three-month rotations across different strategic business areas, including Marketing, Sales, Technology, Supply Chain, and Logistics.
  • Work on projects within each rotation, focusing on solving real business challenges and gaining a deep understanding of operational functions.
  • Attend the "Cheers! Festival" (Global Induction), where they will engage with senior leaders, learn about company strategy, and network with peers.
  • Gain access to the global GMT alumni database for professional networking and mentorship.
  • Be open to mobility within the operational zones, with potential placement in various locations throughout the region.
  • Engage in formal mentoring and access unique leadership development curricula to further professional growth.
  • Upon completion, be placed in a frontline leadership role with the possibility of a flexible career path that encourages diverse skill development.
Qualifications

To qualify for the SAB Graduate Management Trainee Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Completed undergraduate degree by the start of the programme, preferably in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline.
  • Candidates currently studying towards or holding a postgraduate qualification, such as a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration or a Master’s degree, will be at an advantage.
  • A maximum of three years of full-time formal work experience by the start of the programme (internships, vacation work, short-term contracts, and cooperative education do not count).
  • Legal work authorization and full citizenship in the country where the application is being submitted.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to work and live in various locations, with full mobility being a key requirement.
